Microgreens are basically just normal seeds like those that are planted in the garden into matured plants. However, when it comes to growing microgreens, the conditions are different as they are planted thickly in very little soil as they are meant to be harvested as tiny plants. If microgreens are not harvested, they will die most of the time as overcrowding will happen as well as poor airflow. Besides there will also be lack of nutrients for the to grow into full size plants.
If they are space apart, then they can likely grow into full size plants. However, they will need to be fertilized and treated as normal full growing plants. Most of the time, they will not grow as tall as the matured plants.
